Porcelain is made up of a mixture of clay and other high-performing materials that is baked in a kiln at extremely high temperatures. Once the process is finished, you have a durable tile that is resistant to water and easy to maintain. It’s an excellent choice for flooring because of its longevity.
If you have ceramic or porcelain tile, a steam mop is completely fine for cleaning. Natural stone, however, should NOT be cleaned by steam because of its sensitivity. A steam mop used repeatedly will deteriorate natural stone.
We highly recommend sealing your grout for added protection and to repel liquids that can be absorbed. We offer a grout sealing service to enhance the durability of your flooring.
We recommend hiring a tile cleaning company at least once a year to deep clean your flooring to keep it in excellent shape.
Natural stone should be sealed after installation by a tile company. For regular care, use a ph-balanced natural stone cleaner for best results.
